March 27th: Contracting 101: Learn how to do business with the State of Connecticut, municipalities, private sector as well as the Federal Government. This seminar will cover where to register, where to find the bids as well as State and Federal set-aside programs.
April 24th: Responsive and Responsible Bidding – Understand the difference between Responsive and Responsible Bidding. A bid is responsive if the bid meets all of the requirements of the bidding documents or solicitation. A bidder is responsible if they are capable or qualified to perform the work. This presentation will help business owners understand and be compliant to the concept of Responsible and Responsive bidding.
May 22nd: Matchmaker Primer and Completing a Capabilities Narrative: Learn how to manage all three phases of the Connecticut Business Matchmaker event in June. In this workshop, you will learn how to: prepare to meet with important buyers, write your elevator speech, use proper matchmaker etiquette, create a powerful one-page capability statement that will set you apart from the competition, and develop an effective follow-up strategy with new contacts from the event.
