December Computer Classes

Computer Classes

These free classes will be held in the Friends Room at Miller Memorial Library, 2901 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden. The library will provide laptop computers for use in the class but you are free to bring your own computer as well.

Browsing the Web Safely – CANCELLED
One of the key components to avoiding malicious software and scams online is to recognize and avoid dangerous sites and links. This course will go over strategies and tips for staying safe online while browsing the internet.

Using Google Drive
This course is designed to provide an overview on using Google Drive, Google’s cloud file backup, storage and synchronization service.

NOTE: A Gmail account is strongly recommended for this class so that you will be able to follow along.

What is Phishing? How can you tell a legitimate email from one containing viruses? This class will go over ways to protect yourself from malicious emails that are looking to take advantage of you.
