Hamden Library invites you to experience the world of stories this summer by playing our summer reading game To play, just keep track of the time you spend reading on a special sheet & mark off a box for every ten minutes spent reading.

Six ovals = one hour of reading

Three rows = three hours of reading

After completing 3 hours of reading,  bring your sheet in to the Library to get it stamped, put a marker on our board and get a small prize.

This year kids have the option of taking a “Reading Coin” instead of a prize.  For each coin, we will donate 25 cents to the World Wildlife Fund toward saving an endangered snow leopard.

After completing the whole sheet (9 hours) enter the reading raffle to win one of the larger prizes in the display case such as  gift certificates or tee shirts!

Read anything that you like!

Books you read for the Hamden public schools’ summer reading assignment can also count for our program.

Last day to turn in your reading logs is Friday, August 12th!
