Library Elf Email Alerts

Do you have trouble trying to keep track of when your library items are due? Do you wish you could receive an email alert when a new book you reserved becomes available? If so, the Library Elf can help! Hamden Public Library cardholders may now register with Library Elf, a service designed for busy library users that allows you to:

  • Receive email notices of items before they become due
  • Be notified of reserves as they become available
  • View the due dates of various items in a calendar format

How do I get it?
Registering with Library Elf is easy! Just visit and click the "Sign Up" link. Be sure to choose "Hamden Public Library" from the list of libraries, and to have your library card number ready. Your PIN is the last 4 digits of your telephone number.

Important Privacy Notice

Users of Library Elf are required to submit personal information, including library card barcode numbers, to a database located outside of the Library. Please be sure to read Library Elf's privacy policy and FAQs before deciding to sign up for this service.
