Library Elf is a free service that helps you avoid overdues, check multiple library cards and track books, CDs, DVDs and anything else you borrow from the Hamden Public Library.

If you...

• want to reduce overdues
• have children and/or a lot of books
• request a lot of holds

then Library Elf can help! Library Elf delivers notices by email, RSS or text message before your items are due. It will also remind you when items are overdue and when you have holds to pick up.

What?

RSS is short for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary and is a way to keep up with websites that update frequently (like blogs or news sites). Sites that use RSS offer "feeds" that can be read by software called aggregators. Users can subscribe to a website using their aggregator, which will update automatically as the site changes.
