Kazuso Ishiguro was awarded the 2017 Nobel Prize in Literature. He was born on November 8, 1954 in Nagasaki, Japan. His family moved to Great Britain in 1960, when he was 5 years old. Only in 1989, nearly 30 years later, did he visit Japan again. He won the Man Booker Prize in 1989 for his novel THE REMAINS OF THE DAY.
