Imagining Lincoln

Bob Berthelson, member and past president of the Civil War Roundtable of South Central Connecticut, will speak on “Imagining Lincoln: A Life Well Lived” at Thornton Wilder Hall. The program is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Hamden Library and the Civil War Roundtable.

Mr. Berthelson has had a lifelong interest in American history. Since 1965, he has presented illustrated lectures to over 2,200 Connecticut audiences including libraries, schools, historical societies, social groups, retirement communities and other organizations. This presentation about the early life of a president who once said, “My best friend is the man who’ll get me a book I ain’t read,” is part of the Hamden Library’s celebration of National Library Week (April 14-20).
