Special Collections

Special Collections at the Hamden Public Library include:

  • Adult Basic Education and Adult New Readers
  • The Charles Slavin Disability Resource Center: materials about the Americans With Disabilities Act, advocacy, accessibility, independent living and travel.
  • Spanish Lanuage collections for Adults and Children at the Brundage Community Branch.
  • The Hamden Historical Society Library: books, manuscripts, and photographs on the history of Hamden. Located on the third floor of Miller Memorial Central Library, it is open to the public Thursdays, 1-4:30p.m., September through May.
