Museum Passes

New Museum Pass added

We added a new pass to our collection of now 26 museum passes - just in time for the beautiful fall season. This new pass offers free admission for 2 adults and 2 children to the: 

White Memorial Conservation Center and Nature Museum  
80 White Hall Rd (off of Route 202), 
Litchfield, CT.

open Mon.-Sat. 9-5, Sun. 12-5. 
FREE admission for 2 adults and 2 children. Closed major holidays. 
Pass status 

This is a state-of-the-art nature museum with hand-painted and photographic murals, dioramas, live animals, a working honeybee hive, unique exhibits, such as "The Art of Taxidermy". See a life-sized beaver lodge, learn about alternative energy, touch real animal fur, test your bird identification skills, visit the fluorescent rock cave, view nature through a digital macro-scope, or explore the children's corner. 

Then go outdoors and explore "Connecticut's Largest Nature Sanctuary" comprised of 4,000 acres and 35 miles of trails (grounds and trails are open year-round, 24 hours per day). 

Museum Passes are available for Hamden residents through the generosity of the Friends of the Hamden Library. Hamden residents only. One pass per family. Passes cannot be reserved. Museum passes are due before closing on the day after they are checked out. Please be courteous and return your pass at the Info Desk on time.

New - Long Wharf Theatre Pass!

The Friends of the Hamden Library provided the funding for the Long Wharf Theatre pass. Thank you, Friends! 

Hamden residents with valid Hamden Library cards can check out a pass/voucher to the Long Wharf Theatre at the info desk, Miller Library, 2901 Dixwell Ave. in Hamden. Each voucher is valid for a two day period and is good for 2 free adult tickets. Patrons have to phone the box office to reserve the tickets and present the voucher. They will give best available seats pending availability for a given performance. We can hand out one voucher per day. First come, first serve. Our Town.jpg

New 2013 State Park Pass has arrived

We just received a new 2013 STATE PARK pass for circulation. Discover the beauty and history of 139 state parks and forests and spend more time outdoors!

The pass can be checked out by Hamden residents with valid Hamden Public Library cards. One pass per family. The pass covers cost of parking, where there is an established parking charge. Parking fees are charged at all four state park beaches on Long Island Sound as well as several inland parks. The pass also covers admission for two adults and four children at state historical sites and exhibit centers at Dinosaur, Fort Trumbull and Gillette Castle State Parks.

Please note that starting Monday, February 25 the museum at Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill will be closed for construction. The tentative reopening date is April 4.

Come to the info desk at Miller Library, 2901 Dixwell Ave. to check out and return our museum passes.
