The Hamden Public Library is a safe space for teens. It is a place for studying, reading, collaborative work, and hanging out. Our Teen Center offers comfortable seating, computers, charging stations, card and tabletop games, coloring, events and programs, videogames, and of course, books, manga, and graphic novels.

We also have plenty of resources available online! Looking for information on a specific topic? Check out Teen Links.

Located on the second floor of the Miller Memorial Library, the Teen Center is open to Hamden youth in grades 7–12 (or their homeschool equivalent) Monday through Friday from 2:45–5:00 pm. As the space is designed specifically for teens, we request that non-teen patrons access teen materials and then enjoy other spaces in the library.

In order to foster a space that is safe, inclusive, and positive for everyone, we ask Hamden’s teens to adhere to the Teen Center Agreements.

Any questions or concerns should be directed to Teen Librarian, Jenny Nicolelli. She can be reached at 203-230-3770 or jnicolelli@hamdenlibrary.org.
