Ch-Ch Changes: Climate Today and in Earth’s Past – May 5 at 6:30 pm

Explore climate science with the Hamden Public Library through a partnership with the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History!

Ch-Ch Changes: Climate Today and in Earth’s Past  takes place Wednesday, May 5, from 6:30 to 7:30. The presenter is Tom Reershemius, a graduate student at Yale University in the Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences.

“Climate change isn’t a problem because the climate’s always changed.” It’s a common phrase to hear in arguments about human-caused climate change – but is it justified? We will delve into the record of climate through Earth’s history to find evidence for past changes, and ask what – if anything – is different this time.

This program is presented by the Hamden Public Library in cooperation with the Yale Peabody Museum Speakers Bureau
