WE HAVE A POPE, an Italian film with English subtitles
“A nuanced, moving and profoundly humane exploration of doubt, faith, weakness and resolve.” —The Washington Post
“We Have a Pope has great heart.” —The Chicago Sun Times
This comedy is the story of Cardinal Melville, an unassuming man of the cloth who suddenly finds himself elected as the next Pope. It is both wonderfully humorous and deeply touching.
The film will be introduced by Deborah Gaudet, Curator of Film and Theatre at the Wadsworth Atheneum. She will also lead a post-film discussion.
